Greenroom @ IDS

Greenroom is an immersive installation that reimagines the hotel lobby as a living threshold between city and nature. Rooted in a distinctly Vancouver context, the space layers natural textures, ferns, and light to create a moment of pause and calm for guests and visitors. More than a lobby, Greenroom is envisioned as a place of gathering, reflection, and connection.

The traditional program of a lobby is abstracted and distilled into its essential components: wayfinding, circulation, and transition. Seating, dining, and check-in are expressed through monolithic stone forms, creating a striking juxtaposition between hard and soft, and between the manmade and the natural.

This installation was presented at IDS West 2025 as part of the Night and Day feature exploring the future of hospitality. Jenny and David were invited keynote speakers, sharing the conceptual framework and design intent behind the project.​​
